Craftsman Bungalow Exterior Color

April 8, 2020

A weather warm up + paint scraping = exterior color decision time!

I always love it when I can share the ‘fun stuff’ with you, and I’m working on one of those fun things at the flip right now!

With the change in weather, I’ve spent some time beginning the tedious process of scraping loose paint so that we can update the exterior paint colors.

As a reminder, here’s what the flip looks like now. The siding is aluminum, and all the trim is wood.

I’d love your thoughts on what new color you like best, but before I show you the options I have to share some other elements, so you know where we’re at with other decisions.

First up, we selected this beautiful front door:

We also already purchased these copper lights:

And we’ll be re-building the porch and steps, likely with this composite decking:

We’ve also decided that all of the existing white trim will be repainted white.

So that just leaves the siding, and I definitely want it to be dark to provide a little contrast and drama. With all that being said, I’d love to know your opinion: which of these options do you like the best?

Option 1: Dark gray

Option 2: green

Option 3: blue-gray

Option 4: brown-gray
